Hall of Fame

The original Hall of Fame was established in Fall 2017 as the “Wall” of Fame.  The Hall of Fame recognizes and honors outstanding alumni that the Indiana Area High School has produced over the years.  The inductees have distinguished themselves and brought fame or recognition to the Indiana Area School District through their accomplishments or contributions in the areas of academics, the arts, athletics, business leadership, civic duty, and military service.  In honoring these individuals and teams, we are able to celebrate outstanding accomplishments, recognize excellence in a given area, and promote community pride within our school district.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Anyone may nominate a candidate for the Indiana Area Education Foundation – IHS Alumni Hall of Fame. Nominees to the Hall of Fame shall be selected based upon the following criteria:

  1. Nominees must be graduates of Indiana Area Senior High School.
  2. Nominees are first eligible for selection ten (10) years following his/her class graduation.
  3. Selection is based on having provided a significant or meaning contribution to his/her profession or community within at least one of the following categories: Academics, The Arts, Athletics, Business Leadership, Military Service, or Civic Duty.

Nomination forms should convey alumni that have challenged themselves to excel in their career/life, did something above and beyond expectation, took initiative in a project or profession, and/or made a significant impact – nominees should be an exemplary model for others.

The Hall of Fame honors and celebrates distinguished alumni whose achievements, character and service reflect the values of excellence and leadership fostered by their alma mater, Indiana Area Senior High School. By recognizing graduates who have made a positive impact on society, the Hall of Fame seeks to both honor their legacy and inspire current and future students to dream boldly, work hard and make a difference in their communities and beyond.

The Hall of Fame has a lengthy selection process and we anticipate many more worthy candidates will be identified than will be inducted each year. Nominations will be kept on file for consideration for three (3) years. If the nominee is not selected within the three-year period, you are welcome to resubmit your nomination. Please include your contact information with this form so that we may contact you in regards to your submission – if you wish to remain anonymous to the nominee, please mark the relevant box.

Nominations must be postmarked by January 30th each year to be considered.
